Frequently Asked Questions

Clear boundaries, seamless curation. Everything you need to know before we journey together.

The Plant-Based Experience

  • Every aspect of our journey is carefully curated to reflect true Ahimsa (non-violent & compassionate) values. All included group meals are 100% plant-based i.e. vegan, featuring vibrant, local cuisines crafted by local chefs or hand-selected restaurants. We elevate traditional flavors without ever compromising on our ethical standards.

  • Yes, absolutely! At AhimsaScape, we welcome everyone regardless of their dietary habits or lifestyle choices. We believe in compassion and inclusivity, so there is no discrimination of any kind here. Please note, however, that our trips are exclusively curated with plant-based dining experiences. We ask all our guests to respectfully embrace this culinary journey with us. Whether you are already plant-based or simply a curious traveler looking for new perspectives, we would love to have you join us—this journey just might inspire some new ways of eating and living!

  • Absolutely. Because we curate dining experiences, our private culinary teams can accommodate specific allergies, gluten-free preferences, or wellness requirements. We simply ask that you disclose these details during your initial application screening process so we can prepare our kitchens well ahead of departure.

Bookings & Travel Logistics

  • Each trip explicitly details its inclusions on the itinerary page. Generally, the cost covers all accommodations, internal group transit (such as private coaches or domestic flights listed in the itinerary), plant-based dining experiences, guided group excursions, comprehensive entry fees for all scheduled monuments and wildlife safaris, all local guide gratuities, and dedicated wellness sessions—including group yoga, meditation practices, and select massage experiences on scheduled days or other activities as per scheduled itineraries.

  • International flights to and from the starting destination, mandatory travel insurance, personal entry visas, independent dining or drinks outside the group itinerary, and personal shopping are separate.

  • While flights are separate and the sole responsibility of the passenger, our concierge team will provide a recommended arrival and departure window to ensure you seamlessly connect with our private group airport transfers.

  • We endeavour to accommodate requests for twin bed configurations when made at the time of booking. However, due to the unique nature of some of our boutique accommodations, this may not always be possible. While we cannot guarantee this setup, please rest assured that we will always try our very best to accommodate your requirements. Thanks for your understanding!

Payments & Cancellations

  • To secure your place within our trips, a non-refundable deposit is required immediately upon application approval. The remaining balance is broken into structured installments, with the final balance strictly due 60 days before the departure date.

  • Because we partner with boutique venues, charter private transit, and secure local guides months in advance, all deposits and installment payments are strictly non-refundable. If you cancel more than 60 days prior to departure, any payments made beyond the deposit can be credited toward a future trip within 12 months. Cancellations within 60 days of departure are completely non-refundable.

  • BWhen you travel solo, the accommodation cost remains the same for us regardless of whether one or two people occupy the room. As accommodation is one of the largest expenses in curating your experience, the single supplement ensures we can continue providing high-quality, comfortable stays for everyone, covering the full cost of the room for a single traveller.

Safety, Medical & Requirements

  • Yes, comprehensive international travel insurance is a strict, non-negotiable requirement for all guests. Your policy must be secured at the time of booking and must include coverage for emergency medical expenses, trip cancellation, medical evacuation, and baggage loss. A copy of your insurance certificate must be submitted to our team before departure.

  • Our journeys are designed to be deeply restorative, but they do involve mindful movement, walking tours over historical cobblestones, and navigating unique local terrains. If a specific excursion requires a higher level of physical activity, it will be clearly marked on your itinerary.

  • Operating journeys requires agility. While we intend to follow our beautiful itineraries precisely, we reserve the right to alter routes, accommodations, or activities due to local weather, safety conditions, or unexpected logistical changes. If something completely out of our control forces us to reschedule a trip, every dollar you have paid will automatically transfer over as a priority credit for the new dates.
